A Professionally Managed Development Program by IFA gGmbH
Our Mission: To implement sustainable, community-centered development initiatives that create measurable socio-economic improvement, with strategic focus on vulnerable children and women in rural Ethiopia.
Project Context: Addressing Educational Gender Inequality in Dodola District
In the Dodola District (Oromia Region, West Arsi Zone, Ethiopia), systemic poverty creates significant barriers to education for marginalized girls. Many promising students, particularly orphans, are forced to abandon secondary education due to financial constraints and lack of family support systems.
The educational crisis is compounded by severe safety concerns. To access schooling, girls often relocate to urban areas, living in precarious arrangements that expose them to exploitation, early pregnancy, and HIV infection—risks heightened by limited awareness of protective measures and rights.
IFA gGmbH's Strategic Intervention
As a registered German non-profit corporation, we employ evidence-based approaches to create sustainable change. Our Dodola District initiative addresses both immediate barriers and root causes through a comprehensive, three-pillar framework:

2. Health & Safety Protection

Safe accommodation solutions and guardian oversight
3. Empowerment & Mentorship
Professional mentoring programs with trained local advisors
